Event Details:

Does your child have an interest in robotics? Join us to program Sphero minis to complete a maze on their own!

Children ages 8-12 will be quickly re-introduced to the educational Sphero robot before beginning to practice block-programming movements supplied from the sphero edu app. Participants will then work together to develop a set of block-programs to navigate their sphero mini through a maze designed by youth last month.

Children will practice many STEAM skills during their process of coding and testing their programs with the maze. Examples of these skills are, though not limited to, creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, fine motor skills, patience and memory building.

The children will first run through the basics of block-programming with the sphero edu app, design a block-program as a group, and put the completed program into practice to finish their maze.

Registration is required as space is limited.
